me and my dad measured up and decided to make my box yesterday
got a few pics of the build but isnt finished but will keep updated till i finish =]

the box is 12 inch cube, with an extra void for my amp behind the seat and a special void in the front for my custom part =]

keep looking and ul find out the secret hehe



made the box just need to add the sides



sides made just glue and nailed together =]



box made now cutting the 10inch hole for the sub =]



in the boot but extra bits not added yet

thats all for now til next saturday when i get another free day.

but iv ordered the connection block for the cables and the carpet so that should be here ready for saturday

little update i install the power lead to battery the remote to headunit and the rca to the headunit tonight in 5 minutes!! thank you ford =]

i dont have a sub but I still think the sound is good with my HU and speakers

18mm MDF?!?! would be quite heavy wouldnt it?

i would of used 15mm to save some weight.

headunit is avh3300BT pioneer
amp is vibe slim black box 1300w 600rms
sub is pioneer 10 inch 650rms

i have heard of the wadding stuff =] my mate said about it last week hahha

ye same boat with the 18mm i had 2 whole sheets so if i messed up i could redo it ahha

i put aload of wood glue down each seam =] mines only a 12 by 12 by 12 box with edges to conceal the wheel arch =]

Where is the radio bezel i gave you? Looking good other than that

its in the carbon fibre moulding shop :P what you think of the st lit up with blue led strips :P its on with the boot lights =]

its got loads of room around it so i think it should be ok. some people put them in false floors and are ok =]

Fair enough mate, i have always had mine visible with as much air going to it as poss

yep i went to see the carbon guy today and he said he can do it but gunna be fiddly so i may have to make another pattern from the st iv cut to make a mould from lol

Will look bang tidy when it's all finished 1 thing I would recommend is a subwoofer grill for when you have a full boot it stops things from cracking the sub

ye I did think of 1 but was gunna wait til its finished so I can make sure it fits.

if you have any problems with the heat off the amp, car audio centre do a metal inclosed amp that does not get hot i have two of them in the boot and are bloody good

here you go they was tested in india and they really dont get hot ive tested them not in india

the only down side to them is you have to use a alan key to get to the controls connecters ie sealed unit

Good old in phase had there 10inch subs in my old car and never had a problem any pics of your build kenny with these in as I haven't seen it yet

here guyz, is there a good earth point in the boot, or where did you earth your amps to?

I drilled a lttle hole in my spare wheel wel and put the earth on a bolt secured it with a nut then put it in the hole with plenty of grease and another nut to fasten it to the car job done

I did have mine there but the lead wasn't long enuf to run under my box to there hence the drilling
